Once my sister and I went out for coffee, I was listening to her talk to me about her husband. I wasn't paying attention, picked up my cup and took a big drink of coffee that the waitress had just refilled. My tongue was past scorched it blistered.

I have heated a cup of hot chocolate in the microwave before and took to large of a sip and burnt my tongue so bad that it left it numb all day. Honest.

One time I was melting butter for a bowl of popcorn. I took the boiling butter out of the microwave and poured it on my popcorn, then for reasons unknown, I licked the still burning hot plate.

That was awesome, it made the whole butter thing pointless because I couldn't taste **** for 2 days.
