If you have trouble waking up in the middle of the night, calcium could be a problem for you. Taking a bit of calcium before bed could help for a night's sleep. Additionally, physical exertion earlier in the day might help. Yoga just before bed can also be very relaxing, along with meditation, prayer, and other

Since Klonopin is a CNS depressant, there are many things that are unsafe to take with it. Alcohol is one, because if you are still feeling drowsy but cannot sleep you might not wake from sleep you do have. It's a chance. Narcotics are dangerous for the same reason, along with several classes of sedatives.

Without knowing more about your reactions to Klonopin and your lifestyle, all I can suggest with regards to taking something is to ask your doctor.

Klonopin is supposed to make you at least a little sleepy. You should not take Vodka with it. Benedryl (and sugar?) are OK.

I assume you're getting the Klonopin from a doctor (it's anti-seizure med) so if it isn't helping, ask him. You could try to lay off the sugar, which is a stimulant and, needless to say, Klonopin and Vodka is dangerous - ask your doctor!

I don't believe you get the right answer here. Klonopin is described for panick attackes and seizures. Whatever the reason is for your prescription we don't know. However, don't mix over the counter drugs with you prescription medication. Your Doctor can help you with the right sleeping aids.

Just say no....I've been on it 3 years now and am trying to get off. I've been a month with only 1 hr sleep a night since I stopped. I had no idea it was addictive, they never told me. It has been a nightmare. Never start this evil drug, drug.com says it causes alzheimers too......so screw it

I took klonopin and it almost drove me crazy! That's some bad stuff. Ask the Dr. who put you on it or the pharmacist.

Klonopin is really more a panic attack kind of drug it is slow acting and stays working longer than Xanax. Go get sleeping pills. Klonopin is not a sleeping pill
