Make a photo album of you and your family as a kid growing up...all the good times you missed not growing up together...write some little notes and things about the moments so she can kind of get an idea of what it might have been like. Put in your own special thoughts, notes, cards, trivia, about your separate families, of her and how you might see you and her progressing in the future as sisters/friends. Add your friends, pets, favorite things...etc. Put little notes about yourself and your dreams. Let her get to know you a little bit that way. Then enjoy being with her and making new experiences with her!

Ther are lots of keepsakes out the that have "Sister" on them, or have a cute saying on them, or go to a store like Rememberances and have something made.
A scrapbook of your family is a cute idea, something to take home with her, so she feels like she is a part of your life. Do you have a husband and kids? Include them in the book, maybe your father and mother, the dog, a picture of where you live, the car, anything that will immerse her in your life, a crash couse in who you are. Pictures of the kids when they were born, your wedding.
Do you craft something? A handmade keepsake is especially nice. Does she collect something? A personalized collectable is nice.
Have a nice visit.

i think since you are meeting your sister after 25 whole years the best thing that i could think of is some quality time with her, maybe you could go out shopping, or to the movies, do things that would involve the both of you and maybe when it is time for her to leave again, give her an album with pictures of all the good times you'll had together...........thats what i would have done

Well it would be nice if you just give a gift that you made like being personal. WHy not like a picture frame with both of your pictures when you were still young... or anything that would remind you of your childhood days.
If not something that she would eventually be wearing like a locket with both of your pics on it.

How about a locket with a picture of you in it--then she will have a place to put a picture of her, if she wants. That is something nice.
