just look for the recipe in a book at the library or on line, it contains beef tallow, thats fat, and lye, and they used to make lye by leaching it out of wood ashes. it can be dangerous too if you get the lye on you. so its not for children or anything, and you have to use non metallic tools and pots to make it, as lye reacts with metal.
