Why do so many Christians blame the problems in our schools systems of not having the bible in their, or prayer? When reality is, it's because parents don't take responsibility for their children! Not always there fault mine you, if our economy wasn't in toilet, maybe only 1 parent would need to work and then the other one could spend more time with their children. It's not the schools job to raise YOUR child! It's YOUR JOB! Grow up - take responsibility and quit blaming religion for a problem that is started at home! You want your kid to learn prayers or have prayer time - DO IT IN YOUR OWN HOUSE.

A breath of fresh air ya are, bucko. There were plenty of people who had more than we did, because I stayed at home with my boys. When I was a den mother for the Cub Scouts, 8 out of 10 of the kids had no place to go after meetings. Their mothers, if they called at all, would call and ask if they could stay until Mom got off work.
When the boys were teens, their Dad would take them fishing , to ball games etc. Half the time other boys would go with them, because their Dads were at work, playing golf, or whatever.
We never had any real problems with our boys.
Now, as either greed or our rotten economy has more parents working to make ends meet, there rates of violent crime and suicide have risen dramatically with our young people.
I don't believe the Bible has a great deal to do with it. We raised fine sons without one.

I second that! I'm an agnostic and homeschool my 3 children b/c I do not want them "dumbed and numbed' by the public schools, nor do I want them indoctrinated by private schools. I have always assumed that since I chose to have them, that it was MY responsibility to educate and raise them. Most xtians I know are typical parents who dump their children in daycare, the church nursery and school...expecting others to raise them in the way they want them raised....all the while not lifting a finger to build their children into responsible adults. Wait...why would I expect that when most xtians aren't responsible adults? They want the answers to life to come in a happy meal format...spoon fed to them by someone else. Maybe that's what they want from public schools. They can have them. Public schooling is the worst thing to have ever happened to the human race...oh, except for religion.

Another liberal copout!

THere is no parenting like christian parenting. When christian prayer and god was in both the home and the school children a noticeable difference was there. The time to grow up and take responsibilty is here but its the liberal minority that is ruining the foundation of this country that need to do the growing/owning up.

confident it rather is criminal, as long with the aid of fact the college isn't endorsing it. If the church is basically renting area at marketplace cost (ie: what different church homes or businesses could pay for renting an identical area), it rather is a employer deal and not an endorsement.

Well so far we have not had the bible in school and look at our kids now. I htink that if we tried it, we could bring a moral fiber back to our kids. I am not talking about fire and brimstone, but give them a sense of morality.

Anything which is possitively reinforced is learned. Maybe it could make a difference.

Strange.
We didn't have these sorts of problems during the Depression, when our economy was really "in the toilet" and Mom was busting her butt to help put bread on the table.
We didn't have these troubles back in the fifties, when I was a child, or even in the early sixties...you didn't hear much about kids with guns in school, and I can't remember seeing even one pregnant teenager...
Both of my parents worked, but somehow, I managed to stay out of trouble...could that be because I had God in my life, both in and out of school?? Yes, as a matter of fact, that's it exactly!!
Come to think of it, we didn't really have these problems with kids in school until we began taking God away from them.
Coincidence?
I think not.......
