girls with a pretty face?

what I want to know is when people talk about an attractive skinny girl she is "pretty" and when they talk about an attractive girl with extra pounds...she has a "pretty face" WHY IS THAT

It's prejudice at its finest. They can't say she's pretty because she's carrying some extra weight, and they have to say something positive. It's as if the offending person is saying that you don't look at anything but her face and you'll get past her extra pounds. It's really unfair. A "pretty" skinny girl can have the ugliest personality and a "pretty-faced" heavier girl can be the sweetest person you'll ever meet. But we're human: All we focus on is weight.

i guess when they say a skinny girl is pretty they are saying that they prefer skinny girls over larger ones, and therefore they like everything about them. but a larger girl just has a pretty face because they dont really care for her body type, but they still think her face is pretty

Unfortunately that's just how it go. It's cause only her face is looked at as attractive. Yet her body is known to be "ugly" It's like the opposite of a "butter face"

I've never heard of that before. My guess would be that if a girl is chubby and pretty, people mostly mention that she has a pretty face because most people are not attracted to chubby girls.

the majority of people think that extra weight is unattractive, therefore the thin girl is pretty all over but the chubby girl could be just pretty if she lost weight on her body because her face is pretty..

every woman is beautiful in her own way. Magazines are juss whack and they dont make anyBODY feel good except people skinny like nicole richie.. Dont care about what they say, besides men dont like skinny lil twigs, they like some cushion for da pushin!lol they r settin a wrong example for the girls today!! every woman has a beautiful face and a beautiful body!!

because a lot of guys don't like heavier girls, but can at least admit when they are pretty. Won't date them, but know they are attractive "in the face."

Because people unfortunately judge you by your appearance & looks if your overweight with a pretty face they mean if you lose some weight youd be a knock out

When people say "she has a pretty face" it's a nice way of saying that she does NOT have a nice body ( in their opinion). When they say "she's Pretty" they think she is pretty from head to toe.

let me say th is pretty as in thin and pretty as in pretty face but not body is an insult to bigger women. i myself am a bigger women and men find me attractive all over but if they say big but pretty face it means her faceis the prettiest thing on her and for thinner women there bodies is prettier then there face...
