I am also thinking about owning a franchise. But you gotta have lots of money & you do need to fulfill certain financial requirements coz you have to pay for the franchise fee which is paid upon or prior to the commencement of the franchise, you have to join comprehensive training programme & you gotta have a strong and successful background with emphasis on interpersonal skills and financial management if you want to own a franchise. It depends on what kind of franchise that you are interested in.

Ok for example, you want to own a McDonald's franchise. Here's a link of the McDonald's website (Malaysia).

http://www.mcdonalds.com.my/knowinus/franchise.asp

In the website, you can read all the requirements, the benefits, FAQs, how to apply etc. Maybe for different countries, the requirements are different. So try to find what kind of franchise that you want to own. Do a lot of research! Try searching & spend some times reading their websites. Maybe there are a lot of useful infos in it.

When there's a will, there's a way... So good luck to you... ;-)

well dear franchises are with defferent criterias
the franchise I like and i recommend is the one which shares
losses once you have launched it.
usually franchises ask for the following.

1) Required Space maybe a small shop or a big market,
2) Bank Balance,

usually indian franchises ask for lower prices and good quality franchises.
you can open a DEHLI Darbar Franchise for only 15000$ while you can earn more in a month, Dehli Darbar has a good reputation in fast foods.

-you can hire people and supervise them.
-No big deal when it comes to income taxes.

it is not always profitable, but you need not to promote new brand, so, less money for ad

some actually just buy a name, and recepies, they have some rules that need to be followed to maintain quality...
