You don't need permission to get a G.E.D. You should be able to call your local school district admisistration office and ask. Another option is to check with a community college. Below is a link that can give you more information.

There are a number of places you can check for getting your GED. Remember too that it is not too late to go back to high school. Try asking the high school about a GED or go to the public library and ask there. Also a college in your area may offer it too. Either way, good luck!

Some community colleges or independent adult schools help ppl get their G.E.D. Try to look at your city's paper or look at a flayer from the local community college. Some places even provide free hour courses to help students refresh their math and reading skills they later register you for your state G.E.D test.

Try contacting the local community college or the school board in your area. A lot of times the community college is the one who administers the test; if not, it or the school board will be able to tell you what you need to do.

try the local library, they might have info on GED classes
also try community colleges and regular colleges.

going back to your old school is also helpful, the counselor or principal can help you.

If you want to get anywhere, get a GED...but a real diploma from high school is even better.

good luck

Yes, go to your high school and ask them if they offer night school there. Explain that you would like to earn your GED. If they don't have night classes, perhaps they can refer you to school that does offer it in your area. Or even a vocational technical high school. They usually offer night classes.
