If I were him, I will be hurt as well. For a man, it will hurt his ego and self esteem. Never criticise your partner in front of your friends when you are mad. Just back off if he really does something that upset you. He may do it unknowingly. Talk to him when you have cool off. It's easier to criticise a person than to affirm a person you love. Next time, put youself in his shoes...what if he criticise you in front of his friends, how would you feel??

I hope he will gain back his trust on you. All the best...

I would of called together all the people who were there when it happened and made a public announcement right there in front of them all to him. I mean geez if you told him you were sorry and really meant it then he should accept your apology and it should be dropped. Period. But you said he gives you alot of respect and demands it from you as well, that right there in itself says he doesn't respect you. In case he doesn't know yet respect is earned. Demanding respect from you is pretty childish on his part. To me it says he doesn't think you r mature enough or is embarrassed by you in front of others. Anyway thats what I would of done. Beings how he is so demanding of respect from you. I feel sorry for you.

I think he was completely right in this situation. And the way he handled it shows a lot of maturity. Instead of bringing it up in front of people, he pulled you aside and told you how he felt. You should definitely be more respectful, and take some lessons from him. He will stop being mad, but only if you start treating him with respect, and SHOW that you are truly sorry.

how would you feel if he calls you an idiot in front of other people?

not a nice move.

but if you already said you were sorry, you should also tell him that you promise NEVER to do it again and it was done only because you were triggered or had done it on impulse and tell him that you know you are completely wrong. He should be accepting that apology.

If not, then I will also call him an idiot for being so childish about it.

I would never call my boyfriend an insulting or embarrassing name out of spite, if we are with a group of friends and playingly i call him a d i c k head or an idiot then thats different, but if i was degrading him during a disagreement in front of friends then he would have the right to be pissed. Just explain to him how sorry you are and that you didnt realise he would take it so badly and that you understand what you did wrong, but there was probably a reason why you called him an idiot so work on that too!

You need to talk to him and explain that you spoke in anger, but that you understand this was demeaning and will never do it again. He gives you respect and he deserves the same. I would have done what he did. If my husband ever belittled me in front of others, we would have had a long discussion afterwards.

Remember what goes around comes around. Treat others the way you want to be treated. If you are all together again I would apologize in front of his and his friends. You have to suck it up and this way his or your friends will respect you. We are all human but think before you speak.

He'll probably get over it. I'd recommend you don't do that again in the future. I'm sure his ego sustained a mighty blow. At least he had the courtesy to take you aside and not lambaste you in front of people like you chose to do.

I would have put you in your place by bending you over in front of all your friends and spooged all of your face. Then i would force you to suck my Co ck in front of the little kids in line for santa at the mall so they can all see what happens when a dirty s l ut steps out of line. That's how i'd put you in your place, you c o ck hungry, semen thirsty whore, you piece of s h it b i t ch unworhy to suck my juices and swallow so i just ejaculate on your face instead.
