If you get an answer you don't agree with do you send abusive emails? I should have thought if you did not want another opinion you ought not ask.

That is awful? Who would send an abusive email if they are the one who is asking millions of people for their opinion?

Everyone has their own opinion! None of us think exactly alike. We bring our life experiences to our answers. I would hope that people would appreciate that.

I hope I never get a rude email about a question I answered.

I have never asked a question, but if I got an answer I don't like I wouldn't send an abusive email.

I find it extremely rude for people to send abusive e-mails to someone who has given an honest and open answer to a question. If the answer itself were abusive, I believe the person who posted that answer has opened themselves up to such a response. I once posted factual information in response to a question, based upon personal knowedge gained through the completion of a bachelor's degree with a minor in the subject area in question, and received a very abusive response by e-mail almost immediately from the person asking the question. I posted the exact content of their e-mail in an abuse report to Yahoo. I believe this is the best way to deal with the issue.

I don't have a problem with answers or questions. I just don't like the ones that are put out there by dirty little minds pouncing on young people. I try to answer honestly and politely.

I agree with you. I never send abusive emails ... but sometimes people send them to me.

I have no problem with any answer. And despite my rare use of sarcasm, have never gotten anything nasty. I don't send emails either.
What happens in Y!A stays on Y!A. That's my view.

Some people take it out of context, you ask a neutral question and they attack the idea to vent their misfortunes in life. They'd have been better off learning the secret: http://youtube.com/watch?v=csiAsbPxmmY

I'm prepared for it, I'll get nasty ones and ignore them or sometimes laugh, and read the rest.
