Could be many reason
1) Because they want 2 points.
2) Because they think they know about it.
3) May be they wanted to help to that person who asked the question.He try his best to solve that.

But you see the best answer "May be they are ready to face any question in life and they believe that they can solve it and they try it".I find it good.

But see,YOu did not ask this question because you want to know the answer for this question.,You ask why you did it?
