This happened to my cat as she got older. At first I thought this was a personality disorder and she was just gorging on her food too fast first thing in the a.m. Turned out she had an enlarged heart -so big it was pressing on her esophagus (or whatever they call it in cats) causing her to vomit her food back up. Get your cat to the vet - THIS WEEK. There is something wrong if it is also doing choking motions. It could have an obstruction.

This cold be a couple things...first and most common is possibly a food allergy. What kind of food are you feeding kitty?? Check the ingredients & look for cornglutten, & corn based produstc, this is a major cause of allergies try to get foods w this listed far down on the ingredients list. Also only buy food that is natural NONE w ARITFICAL COLORING, if there is green or very red kibble then switch to a non-artifical colored food. This was the problem w my kitty, allergy to the coloring. Also be sure kitty is kept up to date on her shots & health checkups. If you dont notice a dofference then Id get her to the vet. OH YEAH, does kitty seem to be loing weight or look very thin?? If so Id foget the food switch & get her to a vet first.

My cat does this quite frequently. We first thought it was a food allergy, adn switched to hypo-allergenic cat food. It slowed the vommiting down a bit, but not substantially. What i noticed is that our cat gorges itself when it eats, not chewing its food. put less food out in the cat bowl if you can. Try the food allergy suggestion too. Plus, it gets really nervous and vomits too. If you live in a constructon zone or are currently mocing, this is normal behavior for cats.

Try changing the cat's food...my cat did same thing, turned out there was something in the food she was reacting to. We changed food and she quit doing it. Try calling your vet and tell them you're looking for a non-allergic or mild brand of food (tell them what's happening), they'll be able to give you some recommendations.

Dont enable him consume cat foodstuff whether he does look to like it. Im specific he could rather like it in case you enable him consume people foodstuff too. attempt feeding the cat and dogs on an identical time yet in seperate aspects of the abode. After approximately 15-half-hour take the foodstuff away to maintain the dogs from ingesting the cats. finally they're going to comprehend that as quickly as the foodstuff is down the ought to consume so as that way you wont have foodstuff sitting around for the dogs to get at.

k. the next time you feed your cat. Watch it closely. See if the cat if chewing it up fast or slow. The reason why i say that is because i have a cat that throws up from time to time when he eats to fast. If you dont see him or her doing that you might want to go to the vet to make sure that the cat doesnt have some major problem.

Maybe that's your cat's subtle way of saying "I hate this food!"

Nah, trying a different brand of food is a good idea. If it happens with everything the cat eats, then a trip to the vet might be in order.

Mine did this to until I switched the food they were eating to Purina's dental diet. The pieces are larger, therefore take longer to chew. That slows down o the gulping. It's also good for their teeth.

My cat used to do it, until we took her to the vet. The vet gave her a shot and that was the solution. My poor kitty was sick. So you probably need to take her to the vet.
