I don't know of any completely free and legal places to download any MS software or suite .... that is "useful" anyway. LOL HOWEVER, there is a Freeware (open source) alternative to MS Office (including Powerpoint) that functions VERY similar to MS Office and can open and save documents in the MS Office format. The Program suite is called "Open Office" and is completely free. It includes completely free versions equivalent to MS Word, MS Excel, Powerpoint (called Impress), and a few others. Good Luck.

you can download it from microsoft, free for 60 days, a trial version of office xp 2003. Then you will have to buy a key, supposedly, but I just close the window and it keeps on working

I don't know of any such thing. There are some clones out there. One that was commonly used was Open Office, but I see that even they now charge for the software.
