My favorite way to pamper my dog is this: If I have to give her a bath (and she hates them) before I draw her water I take her softest favorite blanket and put it in the dryer. While she in the bath, her blankie is in the dryer toasting up. Then after her bath and dry off, she runs frantically around the house. Then I get her warm blanket out of the dryer. When she sees that blanket. Oh Boy. She scrambles for it, cuddles up in it and doesn't move off that warm blanket for at least an hour.

But I'm always looking for other ways to spoil my dog...So, how do you pamper yours?

Put water in a bucket with treats in it. On a hot day give them the ice which is usually flavored with chicken broth.

Well there are a couple things.....one being whenever she goes outside IF she goes potty when we come in she gets a bizkit(shes a pug & is totally a food based personality, she will do about anything for food!!), also when the b/f is at work I let her cuddle w me in the bed as usually she is not permitted to sleep w us, and of course she gets bizkits for all her good deeds as this is what makes her happy!! oh yeah forgot to mention she gets her toenails painted on a regular basis to match what ever clothes she may be wearing that day!!! lol, I like the warm bankie idea, my pug hates bathes too!!

Our dog loves to be groomed so he gets a monthly 'spa' day.

Then when he comes home all clean and showing off we all get on the floor and pet him. The kids wander off in a few minutes and I give the pooch a doggy massage with my fingers slow rotating circles started on his shoulders- down to his paws. Then down his spine on either side- by now I'm usually proping him up since he is leaning. By the time he lies on his side and I start back up under his chin and work my way to his side he is already falling asleep and out like a light at the end.

when he wakes up he gets a doggie treat and then a brush and vacum- he happens to adore the suction from the vacum as it pulls his hair creating a cool feeling.

He knows he is loved and it is pamper day so he looks for my pillow on the bed and jumps up into my spot for a nap.

I let her sleep in the bed with me. Usually the upstairs is the dog-free cat zone. Not that the dog is mean to the cats, she's not, but upstairs is where their food and litter box is. The door to upstairs is fixed so only the cats can go up. So usually, that's who I get in the bed. But when I feel especially guilty about being away from home for a long time, I let the dog upstairs, and shut the door to the bedroom so she can't get to the cat food.

We spoil her every way we can. ;)

When choosing furniture for the bedroom, one of the things we bought was a bench for the foot of the bed, strictly so that it was the right height for her to jump from the floor to the bench, then from the bench to the bed, because she couldn't make the jump from the floor to the bed on her own.

Another is that because she's a Mini Schnauzer, and likes to track things by scent, we bought a giant sized kitty litter pan and filled it with the plastic balls you find in "ball crawls" at like McDonald's. We break up Beggin' Strips and put them in the ball crawl so she can root around in them and find them. It gives her something to do and helps appease her natural instincts.

She also loves riding with her head out the window in the car, so even when we were in our 100-degree-plus heatwave, we'd have the window rolled down (with the A/C on full blast) so she could stick her head out and bite at the wind...

There are a few ways I pamper my families two dogs. My favorite though, is to go to the Three Dog Bakery (the dog bakery where we live) and show them all of the dog treats that they have. Then, which ever dog treat that they show signs that they want to eat more than any other treat, we buy it!(plus 5 more!)

My boys get about 1/3# of raw hamburger and 2 -3 carrots a week with their food. (the hamburger is from Costco and is frozen until they get it)
They get to go tracking and to dog training at least once a week with me! They love to work! They know the difference between going to work and going for a walk around the neighborhood.
My dogs have handmade collars with their own identity tags specially made for them. One says "King of the Yard" and one says "Bark Woof Whatever"
They are micro chipped and Tattooed. We do not want to lose our dogs!
We bought our vehicle with them in mind - hey, you can't cart around two 80# German Shepherds in a Volkswagon!
We gave up our truck so the dogs could be in airconditioning!!

Take her for a ride in the car. If you can fasten her down, roll down the window and let her hang her head out....my dog loves car rides. Some dogs don't like car rides, but if they do it enough, they will usually learn to love them.

Gizmo loved to chase anything that rolled. Apples, balls, anything. So I gave her the attention she craved and enjoyed seeing her play at her favorite game. When the apples broke, she'd eat them. When she had two female puppies, I ended up being surrounded by them in my bed...Gizmo on the pillow next to me, Corky by my feet and Bink behind my knees. I felt well-loved, too!

You should take your dog out for a walk, and treat it to bones and a chew toy of its choice,
