If you did ok in high school, you should do well on the ASVAB. If there is a particular job you want to do, find out from your recruiter what your scores need to be and study up in those areas. Again, not hard.

It's sort of like the SAT, only not as long. There are test-prep books available to help you prepare for it -- look in any decent size bookstore. If you're serious about going into the military, take the time/effort to prepare and do well on the ASVAB. It's weighed very heavily in what jobs you can do when you enlist.

The ASVAB is somewhat like an IQ test. You can't fail it. The test will be easy in places and hard in others. It is just a measure of you and what you are good at. It is a good way in finding out which career path would suit you well.

Ever looked at the electrical schematic of a radio???? The ASVAB is very out of date! Most of the questions are based in 1970 or earlier so very good luck!
BTW, Recruiters are not your friends!!!! They will lie, cheat and steal to get you signed up! Just say noooooooooooooo and sign up for a training program that you can live through!

Not at all. Actually it is pretty easy. A lot of the test is just common knowledge for most people. I guess the most difficult part was mechanics, but if you've owned a crappy car in the past you'll do fine.

The Main Portions for your overall score are the Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension, Arithmetic Reasoning and Math Knowledge. If you are bad at those areas, smack your 3rd grade teacher for failing you.
Remember, your scores will determine what job you choose (Army-limited Navy) and what job is chosen for you (Air Force and Marines).

It depends on you and how you comprehend information. If you want you can check your local library or book store and they do have study guides but basically its just on the stuff you learned in High school

no it's not hard, it's very easy.but if you are considering going into the military, try to do really well. If you make over a 50, you get more money for college.
