feed a seed diet that you can find in a pet store. Also, vegetables minced up and occasionally fruit. I go outside and pull up grass (with the sod) and deposit on floor of budgie cage and they act like I gave them cavier! Wet some spinich or lettuce down and put in cage and watch them bathe on it. They will also chew on it.I have also cut a piece off a ear of corn and attached on side of cage, they go nuts! My budgies also enjoy cheerios. Make sure you have millet spray in cage for them, too. I give my budgies just about whatever I eat for dinner. This should only be a small portion of their intake. Try orange juice, too!

Pasta, wheat bread, carrot sticks, about anything that is good for a human is good for your birds. Seeds should be kept to a minimum.
