Don't you love him? Why wouldn't you pay for your own sins, why lay it on such a good guy like Jesus? Would you pay for your own sins if you could?

In the words of Patti Smith: "Jesus died for somebody's sins -- but not mine."

I'll take responsibility for my own actions, thank you.

It's like he knew I was going to sin before I was even born--crazy. But, if he didn't die for out sins, I'm not sure I would know how to pay for my own sins... Would it hurt?

This is sort of a good lesson for those who are tattle tales too... Think about it. If Jesus knew that someone murded someone else, would he tell on them? Or would he take the punishment for them? He's a good man--remember, no more snitching, tattling, or anything of the like. Jesus wouldn't do it. Lo'd 'ave mercy

I don't believe Jesus of Nazareth died for my sins as humans are not divine. The only thing that makes him divine is people think he is but where is the proof.

As far as paying for my own sins, I take responsibility for my actions both good and bad so in a way yes I 'pay' for my own sins.

What I have a problem understanding is if Jesus died for our sins, why then do we still face the possibility of paying for them ourselves and potentially being banished to eternal damnation just for being human?

We can't you fool. Only Jesus could have dies to take away sin...but if we are sinful again then we have to repent on our own.

You dont understand....
The penalty for sin is death....

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Only Christ could have paid the wage and over come death in his ressurection. No man could have completed this...

JR "Bob" Dobbs came to justify our sins. Get baptized in his sweet name, he'll wash away your old sins, and trade them in for some new ones.

God should just approve of everything so that if anyone sinned, it wouldn't matter. He's just a bastard like that.
