You would have to get a car trailer for your truck if its an automatic don't listen to the idiots that tell you to just put it in neutral that will ruin it.It has to be a manual transmission to pull behind you and even at that you can only do it with certain models and certain years.Talk to a dealer or a good mechanic.

check your owners manual. Some toys cannot be flat towed. If you do you need to put the transfer case in N and the transmission. Then tow a couple miles and see if it registers the miles. Also you could put the tcase in N and disconnect the rear driveline at the diff. and securely affix it to the frame rail while towing. Takes 10 min, 4 bolts, easy to do. you should also invest in a set of front lockout hubs if it does not have them. A final option would be to find a rear full floater axle and use it with lockout hubs. They also make a kits to modify your axle to a full floater with lockout hubs. Lock out hubs allow you to disconnect the wheel/hub assembly from the axle shafts. If the axle shafts don't spin nothing else up the drive line will either. These options are more expensive, but would be the best option for flat towing.

BTW, if the TRANSFER CASE is in N the tranny is not spinning at all so it doesn't matter if it's an auto or a manual. The spedo cable reeds from a gear in the transfer case though, so if it's in neutral it may still reat miles. Just need to try it.

It can be towed, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to disconnect the speedometr cable

you cannot tow an automatic - you will burn out the transmission. so if it is a rear wheel drive, the rear wheel cannot be running.... you need a mannual to tow.

time to buy a ford f350 because you can tune those puppies up to 500hp if it's a diesel with a super chip.
