Recently, I've been having chronic migraines. Normally, I can hadle them with a Vicodin or, two. But, lately, it's been so bad I've had to stay home from school and, the pain is making me sick. What should I do? What the heck could it be? I'm already making an appointment to see my doctor and, my neurologist if nessicary.

Please, serious answers only...

Chronic headaches of any kind are not a sign of anything good. Get them checked to rule out any serious and possibly treatable problem.

There. are other medications available to treat migraines. You should not just be relying on pain pills. Ask your neurologist about Maxalt, Relpak, Imitrex, or Topamax. These do not make you groggy
& will actually get rid of the migraine, not just dull the pain.

many things can trigger migraines, sometimes certain foods, also physical and emotional stress. You're lucky you can take meds for it, I cannot because of another condition so when I get one I have to get a shot at the hospital for it.

Maybe you could try to see a naturopath. There are sometimes allergies they can find or herbs they can prescribe. Make sure they don't react with any meds the doc might prescribe. You can't learn with all the pain going on so you might as well stay home and sleep.

I have them myself and stress(physical & emotional) is a big trigger...you did the right thing already with the doc appt.....I take medicine now so that as soon as I feel one coming on the meds stop it....good luck...I'm sure you'll feel right as rain in no time.
