I love animals and for some reason they find my house. I was a vet tech for 12 years so I know what can happen at the pound. My husband and I found the sweetest male boxer at the end of our rule road. He is just skin and bones and missing hair due to a flea bite allergies < we think> We have 6 dogs right now and do not have the room or money for this sweet pea. I put the word out to everyone I know. I don't want to take him to our human so. Does anyone know if there is a boxer rescue and how does it work and our they good people ?

I am sure they will be able to help you, even if you are not that close by... they will be able to tell you exactly where and who can help you get him into rescue... all rescue people are good folk, unlike a large portion of breeders, they actually LOVE the breed... shown by the fact that they take in strays, rehab them, find them GOOD homes, and love them to death... (whereas some breeders pop out 100 puppies a year and ship them off at 6 to 8 weeks old, much too young in most cases...)

http://www.petfinder.com - click "Shelter and Rescue Groups" in the upper right.

However, depending on the Rescue, they're usually pretty full with Shelter pulls themselves, so may not have the room to take in a surrender. You may want to offer to Foster for them?

I can't say how good they are, but here are some websites. Maybe they'd be able to provide more details:
