To keep people in line. Control. Nothing more, because it's all a bunch of bullsh*t as it is. Cheers!

In Christianity, not everyone will go to Heaven. Hell is a place for Satan, his demons, and the people who do not accept Jesus and the trinity as God. I don't know much about the Muslim religion, but I do know that if you accept God, repent, and are baptized, then you will go to Heaven; God did send his Son though so that if you do sin, or live an unholy life, you can still be save by confessing your sins. One of the most common mistakes is that if you sin, you can't go to Heaven; not true.. Everyone has a second chance!

Many many people who claim to be Christians go to hell. They belive that once they accept Jesus as their savior or come to some kind of knowledge that he is the only way to heaven that they are set for life. This is not true. If they do not follow all of his teachings and live by his commandments...they will not go to heaven (unless of course they repent of their sins)
So Christians do not belive that all everyone goes to heaven..only the ones who live by Gods law
Hope this helps

and, as Ridley Scott said:
In space, no one can hear you scream.

All joking aside - Christianity basically says that all Christians are going to heaven, because according to Christian dogma, all you have to do to go to heaven is "Accept Jesus as Lord and Savior" and "repent your sins." Since those to things are basically the definition of a Christian, all Christians are supposed to go to heaven.

That said, most Christians aren't well informed enough about their own faith to figure that out.

At any rate, to answer your question, since Christian dogma, in typically religiously tautological fashion of If A then A dictates that all Christians are going to heaven, hell would therefore be for everyone who is NOT a Christian.

You get to hell by commiting sin - just 1 -God is a perfect God, and holy - 1 sin is too many for him to see. So you are cast into hell
This is unlike Islam where the little angles and demons on your shoulders see who talk the longest.

To be clensed of sin, you must accept Jesus and believe in him. After that you must do as he commands, otherwise it was just sort of lip service, and he is not Lord of his life.

Jesus CANNOT be only a prophet.

John 8:58 “What I’m about to tell you is true,” Jesus answered. “Before Abraham was born, I am!” 59 When he said this, they picked up stones to kill him. But Jesus hid himself. He slipped away from the temple area.

…Obviously the Jews that heard him considered the statement as a claim to divinity. They tried to kill him for what they considered blasphemy.

... Either he was telling the truth, he was a liar or he was nuts. The "good teacher" claim contradicts the facts.

Christians don't believe everyone is going to heaven; far from it. Many christians believe that most people are, in fact, going to hell. Pretty much everyone who doesn't believe exactly the way they do, including you, my friend. And they have good reason to; their own god told them so, right in the bible.

Thats where you're wrong: everyone is NOT going to Heaven. If that was the case, Hell wouldn't exist. But it does because there are evil people in this world (murderers, child molesters, rapists) who get their kicks by harming innocent people. Would you want to spend eternity in Heaven with them?

What is the point of having a brain if you don't use it. That is; just blindly believing without using your brain to determine whether what you are being told makes any sense.

On the chance that you might think I'm being supportive, let me make it clear that I don't believe in any religion. And if I were to list all of them in a best to worst order, yours would definitely be the worst because it's my understanding that your religion advocates killing people you refer to as infidels. You might be able to get away with such activities in the middle east, but don't try it in the USA unless you want to be imprisoned.
