For those who claim Jesus is not divine:

John 8:58 “What I’m about to tell you is true,” Jesus answered. “Before Abraham was born, I am!” 59 When he said this, they picked up stones to kill him. But Jesus hid himself. He slipped away from the temple area.

…Obviously the Jews that heard him considered the statement as a claim to divinity. They tried to kill him for what they considered blasphemy.

Melchizedek may or may not have been Jesus, but he was an image of Jesus. He was kind of a for shadow of Jesus. Jesus is all throughout the Bible. In Genesis 1, the word for God in Hebrew is plural. This shows that Jesus was always around. God is really three: Father (God), Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. Three in One. God was always around, and so was Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Jesus may not have appeared as human til the New Testament, but he was an active part in the Old testament. As for Melchizedek, some people believe he was just a priest that was a foreshadow of the Saviour to come, other people believe that he actually was Lord. When he blessed Abram, it showed that he was the greater and Abram was the lesser. He was more important the Abram! He was the king of Salem, or Jerusalem, and the name Melchizedek means "king of righteousness" or "King of Peace" Read Hebrews 7; it talks about how Melchizedek will be priest forever, and so will Jesus; decide for yourself.

Yes. Abram paid ties to Melchizedek (you only paid ties to God), he was with out mother or father no beginning of days nor ending of nights. Jesus is the God of all creations. Hear Israel the lord our god is one lord. There are 3 that bare wittiness in heaven God, Jesus and the word and these 3 are one. Every where in the bible it states that Jesus is God the Creator, all you have to do is just read the bible.

Yes, Jesus is God.. no question about it. I also believe you are correct about Melchizadek being the pre-incarnate Jesus.

Melchizedek. The identity of Melchizedek is controversial, especially in view of the statements made concerning him in Psalm 110:4, and in Hebrews 5:6, 10; 6:20; 7:1-21). “The Lord” is called by David “a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.” The writer of Hebrews said Melchizedek was “without father, without mother, without descent (i.e., ‘genealogy’), having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually” (Hebrews 7:3). The usual interpretation of these words is that he was made into a type of Christ since, as a “King of Righteousness” (meaning of Melchizedek) and “King of Peace” (meaning of Salem), he appears and leaves the record, suddenly, with no mention of either ancestry or death. This, however, is obviously a strained and naturalistic exegesis of exalted and supernaturalistic language. It seems better to take the words literally, in which case they could only be applicable to Christ Himself, appearing here to Abram in a theophany. This would also solve the problem of how such a godly king and priest as Melchizedek could be ruling a city in such an ungodly land as Canaan and, why, if he did, Abram would have had no other contact with him. The fact that he was “made like unto the Son of God” accords with one of Christ’s pre-incarnate appearances; at His human birth, he became the incarnate Son of God forever. Melchizedek was also said to be a man (Hebrews 7:4), but the same is true in the case of other theophanies, one of which was likewise manifested to Abram and Lot (Genesis 18:2, 22; 19:1-24). That Melchizedek’s Salem could never have been Jerusalem is evident especially from Ezekiel 16:2–4

You might be right about Melchizedek but Jesus is not God.Jesus is the Son of God."....He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ , he hath BOTH the Father and the Son."2 John1:9b

Jesus is God. Any Bible BELIEVER knows that, but Melchizedek was only a type of Christ.

You are right about Jesus being God.

The Bible does teach that Jesus is God. Please see http://godsci.org/gs/chri/jc/deity2.html for relevant discussion.

It is possible that Melchizedek was Jesus. The text does not clearly indicate this to be the case.

Cordially,
John

The book of John reads: "in the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word was God.....the Word became flesh and dwelt among us." That's Jesus.

Yes, you're right.
