I am going to be 18 in May. And I plan on going on a trip to San Diego with my girlfriends for a senior trip. But, I wanted to know if I'm not able to get a hotel, if I can have my parents pay or do the talking & let the clerks know or whatever? Is that possible?

You can go to hotels if you are under 18 with your parents permission, like if your parents call that hotel and tell the ppl there that you are staying, they can also pay with their credit card, that way you can stay. I know because I have traveled lots of times, im not even 18 yet, not even close, and that's how I stayed in those hotels, I mean real hotels like the Hilton or the Marriot hotels.

I believe 18 the best advice is to call the hotel personally and ask them their policy!! It is sometimes 21, but I believe that is like in Nevada, where gambling is legal, but you shouldn't have a problem, you will need a a valid credit card or someone in your party must have a credit card!! best of luck to you have fun In San diego!! it is a great place!!

keep on YAHOOING!!

Most hotels require that you be at least 21. I would call ahead to any hotel that you are considering to make sure. Also, you usually need a major credit card to reserve the room. This might also present a challenge to someone your age.

Best of luck!

most places it's 18... and need a credit card in your name -- unless you pay cash. if you pay cash, you will likely need at least $100 down the night before...
