I'm looking to purchase some new pots and pans and unfortuantly I don't have a lot to spend on them, and I don't want crappy cookware. What I am wanting is something that is non-stick and dishwasher safe. Any recommendations?

I found a set of 3 skillets, for about $10 at Bed, Bath and Beyond about a year ago. Non-stick so good you can cook an egg without butter. But, I don't recommend putting any cookware in the dishwasher. The heat is bad for the non-stick coating, and also bad for the handles and the riveting. Hand washing is why I am using my grandmother's Revere-Ware, that she got as a wedding gift, in the '30s!

I highly recommend checking out the _Kitchen & Housewares_ section on Amazon.com. You may also qualify for free shipping, which will save you more $$$.

Brands like Farberware of T-Fal are probably your best bet (nonstick, dishwasher-safe). Good luck!

T-Fal brand cost around $50-70 @ Target or Wal-Mart. Macy's has Tools of the Trade brand about the same price range.

Kitchen-Aid, very good, just don't buy the colored ones if you cook a lot, they stain quickly and discolor. Get the anodized aluminum. I have a set with professional riveted handles with glass tops and rubber handles that are oven safe. All for around $70 for an 11 piece set.
