You might want to check your own needs and computer knowledge with regards to any linux distributions you will choose.

I recommend you to take this online test http://www.zegeniestudios.net/ldc/

I use SUSE 10 as my primary operating system. Both KDE and Gnome interfaces are similar to windows and can be customized in ways that windows cannot. If I could get all of my software to run in linux I would delete my Windows XP partition IMMEDIATELY!

-Friends don't let friends use Windows
-Wear a TUX... Try Linux!

Any distro with the KDE interface will look very similar to Windows. I think Linspire was designed to be what you're asking for. I would, however recommend Ubuntu (Actually Kubuntu is what they call the KDE version).

Any KDE distro is good. Linspire can be downloaded for free if you have a high speed conection. If not you can order it from targetrlifecoach@yahoo.com for $3.00

Mandriva Linux looks and feels similar, but linux just isn't going to be like windows no matter what you do.

Give it a shot though and see how you like it... it's free.

you can find it here: http://www.mandriva.com/en/download
