Ringworm can be treated with fungus-killing medicine. The medicine can be in taken in tablet or liquid form by mouth or as a cream applied directly to the affected area. It is only lack of or inadequate treatment that can result in an infection that will not clear up.

Skin medication is usually successful at treating ringworm within 4 weeks. If your ringworm infection is severe or resistant (meaning that it does not respond well to self-care), it will usually respond quickly to antifungal pills.

RE:
once ringworm is treated can it spread thoughout my body?

Possibly, but I think it might be the other way, that the candida fungus is already throughout the body and is manifesting as ringworm. Mine did as a rash that would come back as soon as I quit using antifungal powder.

It can spread if not taken care of. Have you treated it with hydrogen peroxide. dab it on let dry do again three times a day for a week. this should cure the problem.

Ring worm is a fungal skin disease. It itches, causes a round (ring shaped) rash, and if it is on the scalp it causes hair loss. It is not internal. It is contagious to other parts of your skin if not treated but not inside your body.
