I understand some "Christians" are Bible bangers and try to shove it down your throat, but that's not what the Bible says to do, anyway, and they give other Christians a bad name. Jesus is not an evil dictator, he's a friend. I don't understand why people hate everything about Christianity. It sounds to me like THEY are the intolerant ones. "If Christians don't think being gay is normal then they are intolerant," but people don't respect Christian views, and everything "Godly" in this country is being put down.

I've studied Christianity. I like the religion, in theory. Don't know if I buy it, but I like it.

But the Christians, now, that's a different story. I've met some nice ones, both out there and in here, (Debra M comes to mind) but there have been way too many judgmental hypocritical lectures, too many rotten preachers taking advantage of others for money, too many times that Christianity is used as an excuse for behaviors that Christ would have been ashamed of.

Too many of y'all are bad representatives of your religion.

Do not confuse fear with hate. I am truly frightened that Christians are going to try to impose even more irrational, religious laws that will jail or kill people: homosexuals, women who seek abortions or work outside the home, doctors performing stem cell research or providing birth control, etc. If people do not want to engage in any of these activities and belong to churches that forbid them, that's their right. But this is a pluralistic society, and as such we need to protect the minority from the tyranny of the majority.
