You burn more calories if you jog in the mornings (6a or 7a) on an empty stomach and have breakfast right after your jog. The reason being is that your body's metabolism is still going fast until 1 hour after jogging. When you eat your breakfast, your body is burning up those calories. Also, if you jog at night, as I mentioned before, your body is metabolizing for 1 hour after your workout and causes you not to be able to sleep. I agree with the rest of those who are telling you that it's dangerous to jog at night, but if you MUST because of your work schedule or other reasons, then try to take someone with you, have some kind of weapon, have your cel phone with you, wear clothing that will make you visible to others, and always try to stay at the sight of the public because a possible attacker will most likely not want to attack or harm you at the sight of others.

No. If your biological clock is set at that time then it's no problem.

As long as your getting enough sleep, and eating properly before and after your jog it should not adversly affect your body. Rest and diet are just as important as the workout itself.

Just don't wear earphones (music) and you may want to carry something for protection....knife, and a cell phone.

And don't jog on the train tracks....thanks.

Don't know where you live, but jogging at night could be dangerous. If you live in an area where there are wild animals or rattlesnakes, night could be dangerous.
A lot of people let their dogs out at night after everybody has gone to sleep.
Some of the night predators are two-legged animals.
I would suggest that you jog in the daytime or else take someody with you when you jog at night.

You get the same affect on your body. It's a good idea to run with 2 other joggers and wear reflective shoes/clothes. And carry mace. We all have to be proactive about being assaulted these days...in daylight or at night.

It would be okay if you wore reflectors on your clothing so you would be 'visible' in the dark 'cos it would be terrible if you got knocked down by a car.I think you would lose more fat if you jogged in the morning.

If you're anything like me, it'll make it hard to sleep. If you try it wear reflectors and take along some pepper spray. :)
