but I've never spoken to her and I don't sit by her. Would it be creepy (would you ladies find it creepy) if I came up to her after class and introduced myself, and asked her if she'd like to go out for a drink or lunch, even though I've never talked to her before? Would she laugh or think I was weird because I just asked her yet she doesn't know me and I don't look like Brad Pitt?

I'm really, really shy. I usually blubber when I talk to girls I like but I'm not fat or ugly and I don't look like a nerd like in the movies. I'm average. :(*
*Don't mean to offend anyone with "fat" or "ugly" or "nerd."

Hey there,

I experienced this same situation almost exactly as you explained. However, I was the girl that the guy asked out. We had never spoken to each other but I noticed he was often staring at me from across the classroom and smiling or would give a slight wave once in awhile. I came to the conclusion, he was probably interested in me.

So one day, class ends and I see him standing outside of the room. He was very kind; introduced himself and asked if I would care to go to a dinner and movie sometime. Feeling a little put on the spot, I said I would think about it and thanked him and went on my way.

After having time to evaluate what had occurred, while I was quite flattered and appreciated the formal gesture, at the same time I knew there just was not a connection/attraction of any kind and honestly it made me very uncomfortable thinking about returning to class the next day.

I did tell him I was not interested the following day and he seemed to take it quite well. We made small chit-chat once in awhile but it was all very tense and awkward. But it just was not the same in class afterwards.

So to answer your question: Not only was I uneasy with the situation, eventually I started dreading going to class and to me I was just creeped out about everything.

I just wanted you to know my side of what happened in the same situation. However, I do not wish to deter you from asking this girl out. Every circumstance is different. I just would like you to be aware of what might happen and to prepare yourself if this does occur.

Best of luck to you! I sincerely hope it works out. :)

I doubt she would find it creepy. The worst she could do would be say No. But what if she likes you too and says yes. Maybe you could try casually talking to her before actually asking her out see how she responds. Maybe find something to ask her about the class then if things go well ask her to go for a drink.

well for one thing dont be afraid. she isnt gonna have you arrested or anything the worst she can do is say no and tell all her girlfriends about you. but if i was her i wouldnt think it was creepy that a handsome (average) guy came up and asked me out. i would simply say yes or no but if she is drop dead goregous find out if shes taken first. because if she is beautiful she might have a 4 hundred pound muscle-man boyfriend so just dont be scared i have faith in you be yourself that is all a girl can ask for in a guy

i'm afraid, aside from an beginning sentence, making up imagined conversations is doomed to failure! the perfect plan is to no longer plan. heavily. basically have some stand with the help of subjects at the back of your suggestions. Questions are often a stable concept.

1st sit next to her, then talk to her. then see where it leads. you dont even know her. its NOT always about looks. how do you know how her personality is? so take it slowly.
