how often should a guy call his girlfriend when they are in a long distance relationship?

I was in a long distance relationship for a year, my boyfriend called me like twice a day. He was the first person I talked to in the morning and the last person I talked to at night. To me I would probably expect once a day and as long as it doesn't bother you even more than once a day would be alright.

This is such a timely question for me. I was debating whether to post a question just like this and then i came across yours.

I have been with my boyfriend for 5 months and we called each other more than once a day... numerous times in fact. Now his circumstances have changed and he can't talk to me as often. I understand that but as of right now i haven't heard from him in four days! Is it too much to ask that he contact me either through e-mail or on the phone at least every other day???
I don't think I'm being unreasonable and I'm starting to feel uncomfortable with this.

I was in a long distance relationship we logged over 1000 phone calls in 4 weeks. Call as many times as you both are comfortable with. Talk to him/ her about it and you may find they would like to talk more often as well!

if you like her very much you will no when to call,but i wouild not like call her every hour on the hour or something like that.let her call you some to .one once a day is good you thought right about that one.,because you call her to much she might think you are going something wiht someone else.,but hard to say ,but we women think the some .some of use do.

alternatively try msn messengers with webcam to have the more personal touch but do leave some personal space for his girlfriend.
