f.y.i to Lily she wants to do this because she knows she can ... she knows what is up against ...and that she has a mother who will stand by her no matter what direction she takes

Be proud of her..Let her do what she chooses to do in life.... that's her choice, her life and not yours. we will keep her in our prayers!

I'm not thrilled about women in military service. But women today believe that this is something they want and can achieve. I sometimes wonder if they know what they're getting into. But I figure by the time boot camp is over they'll no for sure if they made the right decision.

my husband is a marine recruiter and i have been a marine wife for 15 years and if she is a certain type of woman, she will have no problem. i have to say, it is harder for a woman in the marine corps, but if she is tough and can hang with the "boys", she should be fine. she should be SURE that she wants to do it--absolutely sure!!

They do it every day; Mainly so as to have a large pool of guys to choose from, or be noticed by. Statistics on rape of female recruits is frightening.
