Uhm, let me explain an important point, obviously if there were dinosaurs they probably would have been God's first mistake in creation, then he made man, the second and even worse mistake. I won't be surprised if God doesn't mention humans in the next bible.

Believers will believe just about anything with the right motivation (oh, say heaven, and alot of people repeating the same crap over generations.), free thought on the other hand might be a little more skeptical on the subject. I want to see a civil case on the bible, man vs. the faith, and I want the bible to create enough irrefutable evidence to make every man woman and child a believer. I just don't think the bible has a real case.

For living an estimated165million years on the Earth, the dinosaurs should have probably had their own book in the bible. Since man has still not surpassed the dinosaurs along the lines of which species has reigned longer.

Some would argue that they are mentioned in Job (the "leviathan"), but others argue that it was an ordinary crocodile. Others would say the dinosaurs were extinct before mankind came along and began recording history of interaction with God.

It does mention dinosaurs, when it talks about behemoth and Leviathin in Job. The word dinosaur wasn't even invented until the mid 1800's, 200 years after the KJV was written.

Here's where the Bible mentions them: On day six, all the creeping things of the earth were made. Dinosaurs walked the earth. They were made on day six. And God didn't mention 165 million years because there have been only 6,000 of cosmic history.

And for that other guy, a form of the oriental language would be one of the language groups created at the Tower of Babel in Genesis Chapter 11.

Are you so sure the Bible doesn't mention dinosaurs? I'm not.
I don't think it mentions cats or ferrets either, and I know both of those exist, since I have two cats and a ferret who live with me. I also have a dog...he is an ordained minister, by the way, got the papers and everything. I guess God forgot to tell us that we could get ordained just by sending a small amount of money to certain internet sites?? (I got the papers for Riff, my dog, just to prove that it could be done...and, actually, I think he's a pretty good pastor, better than some human pastors I know...)
It doesn't mention steak and taters, at least not in those terms, or Pepsi....I wonder why? That's what I just ate for dinner....
Do you suppose maybe there just wasn't room for everything, so maybe God just stuck to the important stuff...you know, what sin is, and what it isn't, and how to avoid the second death?

A fundamental christian would respond in this way. The creation account does allow for dinosaurs the same it would any other animal. However, you are trying to interpret the Bible in light of what science considers fact. A christian would just have faith that God protected Adam and Eve from danger. There are some theories specifically seeking to address whether you can interpret the Bible in light of science, but I have no qualms with accepting that dinosaurs roamed freely with people. God kept Adam and Eve.

Some will say that dinosaurs are mentioned in the Bible. I will say that there are a lot of animals, and other things, which are not mentioned in the Bible. It is not a book on zoology or biology or geology or whatever; it is a book on living life and having a relationship with God and being saved from our sins.

It leaves out numerous things the people at the time didn't know about. Why aren't they included?? The Bible was written by people...it did not come by FedEx from Heaven. Even if you overlook the fact that the bible is little more than propaganda, meant to sway non-believers to Christianity with a "my-God-is-better-than-your-God" approach, the various discrepancies make anyone that is not a complete sheep question the validity of it.

The Bible doesn't mention dinosaurs for the same reason the Bible doesn't mention penguins, capybarys, and amoebas: it isn't a reference book on zoology!

The Bible is part of the record of God interacting with human beings. That is it.

My only problem with the Bible is the back cover. Since our adventure continues, it stands to reason that God isn't done with us. There are more stories to be heard!

No, he didn't, on the 5th day he created the flying creatures and the creatures of the sea and on the first part of the 6th day he created the all of the land inhabitants (including DINOSAURS). Genesis 1:20-25. What is the deal? READ BETWEEN THE LINES. Does everything have to be spelled out?

Good Lord, who cares!

We get so focused on the evolution debate that Christ's true message gets overlooked. I for one do not have such a fragile relationship with God that a scientific theory will threaten it. God is God. So what if the goat herders got it wrong? Doesn't' lessen my relationship with God. I think the evangelical obsession with Evolution is simply a way to stay focused on something OTHER than help the poor, taking care of the sick and visiting the prisoners.
