Is 657 high or low??

While credit scores actually range from 350 to 850, creditors won't grant credit under 500. As a mortgage loan officer I have never seen anything below 400 and rarely higher than 800. Based on this experience, a 657 score is about average. You should qualify for just about anything you want to do, but may not get quite the best "premier" rates. At the same time, you should not pay "higher" rates.
The best rates typically go to those over 720 in score. Once you get beyond the 720 mark, you rarely find better options. Just keep your revoloving debt balances low, make all your paymnets on time and prevent any future collections. YOu should get into the 700s pretty soon.
Good luck.

Try your best to pay off more debts to increase your score.
