You are my hero!
Funniest thing all week.
You make me want to believe in the rapture.
I'm picking my balls up off the floor right now!
Think of all the free cars and houses.

That would be a nice thought -- but there is no truth to the rapture or to any of the other countless myths in the bible that cannot be, and never will be, proved. Until such time, I am afraid that we have to put up with them going on about their nonsense and lies as they continue to intimidate people into joining their churches and giving them lots of money.
Then again, maybe Jan Crouch, a devout fundie from Trinity Broadcasting really does need grocery money from little old pensioners. See the attached youtube clip of Jan begging for money. SCAM ARTIST!

In make believe land:
No, if the rapture did occur most of the fundies would be here on earth with the rest of us. It would after all, be considered a horrible existence.

The idea of premillenial despensational beliefs that Fundies typically hold are very modern in the history of Christianity. If the eschatology of Christianity it "right," I'm sure the most modern view about it isn't correct. They'd still be here.

Ah yes... We will not be here. Think about that for a second.
Maybe what we saw in New Orleans was a small example. It was neglect poor planning and many other things that delayed the government from responding but they did eventually show up. Imagine what it would of been like if nobody came at all. What would it look like now? Now that's one city.
If there is a one in a million chance we are right, don't you think it might be worth checking out?
GOD bless ya.

Define fundies..
if you mean goody goods..then yes. But I think you would be focusing on reforming.
In Revelations, it says there will be plenty of signs to indicate the coming of the rapture. One is the Virgin Mary and baby Jesus will be visible in the moon for a couple years before it happens. There's plenty of other signs, but we will definitely know when it will happen.
