It should work. Ringworm is a fungal infection, not an actual worm, so antifungal medications usually clear it right up.
I would at least call the vet and make sure it is safe to use on your cat. We have treated rescue animals here with Tinactin and never had a problem.
Good Luck!

Yes, ring worm is not really a worm but a fungus. It's called ring worm because of the circular rash that breaks out on the skin. Try the anti fungal cream and if that doesn't work you will probably have to take he or she to the vet for some anti fungal shampoo. Also, be sure to clean your house of spores. The spores that cause ring worm can live in your house a long time.

Hi Lioness, I tried to find "objectified" and "objectification" in the dictionary and no joy. Well, I'm not exactly sure I understand your queston, but think I might have an idea. Anyway, have you ever heard of the "bell curve"? It's a curve that is shaped like a bell and does a good job of representing statistics. As for beauty, at one end of the curve we have the least attractive and at the other end the most. The same would be true for income ... poorest on one side and richest on the other. In the middle of the bell we have all the average folks. I think what you're saying is true, but just simply a fact of life. We have the full spectrum for both genders. As for why guys don't protest ... I guess they realize that it's just the way things are and protests are unlikely to change anything. Hope this helps!

Yes. Ringworm is a fungus, not a bacteria. Use a miconazole cream (OTC treatment for athletes foot), but only if the vet has confirmed that it's ringworm. If it's something else, it won't help and might actually make it worse. Also, some cats get a systemic infection that requires oral meds, so if it's more than just one spot, he might need an all over shampoo or oral meds.

They are basically the same thing. When one of my students got ring worm the doctor had him put athlete's food creme on the spot. It should work, however, I would worry about the Ph level on the kitty. I would call a vet before you put the creme on your kitty.

Yes. Ringworm is a fungus, like athelete's foot, so using that creme would help. Actually, if you look it up online, it'll actually tell you which brand to buy (so it's not too harsh). Try petmeds.com. Good luck.

no it won't work. ringworm is a very contagious fungus. you will need the help of a vet for treatment.I work for a vet and have for years. There are several ways to treat this but the Dr. needs to see the cat before he will know which treatment plan will work best for the cat. You will most likely get it too so see your own Dr. for treatment.

yes, its a fungal cream, but the best way to take care of it is scrape the ringworm off and then pour alchol on the wound this will burn a little so hold on tight to the cat. if you want to spend some money the vet will give you pills now that you can give the cat so you don't have to keep washing her with the expensive soaps if you don't want to really hurt her with the alchol.

That cream is made to get rid of tinea infection in humans. But it is probably too strong to put on your cat! Your vet can give you some pills and recommend a washig method to cure your cat. Please do not put people medicine on your pet. You could make them really sick.
