Why do you want to mother everyone?

why would you want to be the ideal mum......under who's standards would you be judged and if you are doing it for others on the outside looking in then that's for all the wrong reasons surely.
What you need to do is YOUR best, some days it will be far and above and on others it will not....but here's the kicker so long as you do your best they will love you no matter what, and really does it matter if Mrs b down the road thinks you are a super mum the ONLY ones who should think that or that you care about thinking that is your own kids............
Also just as a personal thought if you try to set such high standards that are basically unreachable you will be so sick you will not be of any use to your kids period................and remember you ARE a person before you was a mother, make sure that you keep 'her' alive.

You are setting yourself up to fail. Being a Mom is a trial and error job. Not all kids and situations are the same from family to family or, for that matter, from kid to kid. You need to make your decisions based on the best available facts at the time you make the decision. No second guessing is allowed.
But to be the best Mom possible, just enjoy and love your children.

Honey, You don't have to be an ideal mom for anybody but your children and yourself. To put yourself up to other people's standards is impossible, but understandable that you want to do everything you can to be tops. In the world we live in now, go with your own culture, your own values, your own ethical standards, and let other moms adhere to theirs. I'm sure you are the next thing to perfect since you asked the question. My answer is, 'fuget about it', and just be yourself! Be happy!
Oh, p.s. Pizza and pop on Friday nights. Brownies during the week.

You can't!! You can only be there for them, always, and let them know that you love them. You have to stand by your rules & punishments and be nurturing at the same time. It's the toughest job in the world and also the most rewarding. Never spoil your kids, EVER. This will ALWAYS backfire in the long run!!

You cannot make everyone happy. Just make sure your kids are well cared for, loved and happy and you yourself be happy and heck with what others think. Being a mother is hard work. Hard enough to keep your kids happy and yourself. So.. dont worry so much about what others think. They are entitled to their opinion. Good luck.

The best advice I can give to you is to do what you feel is right in raising your children and love them unconditionally.
