You bring up a good point.. i would have to say it is not based on whether they are soliders or not but their lives individually, as a solider alone i believe they go to Heaven, but you must look at the whole life not the label of "solidier"

Rewards and punishments accompany our conscious actions, and not our jobs. God's vision can read the innermost of our hearts. To be sure we need to read various religious books concerning the law against killing and the resposibility of man based on his free-will.
I have been drafted into the army under war, but I have decided to observe at all cost His law of not killing, so I am happy with the love of God and don't have any worry concerning heaven or hell. The love of the One True God is already my highest heaven.

to all you assholes who for some reason have some sort of hate towards the troops...**** you. and towards the question, do you think that just a few moments in someones life should decide who gets into heaven and who doesnt. well you will say what about the terrorists, what about other murderers, they are bad people in general. our troops are there fighting for a belief or for whatever reason. i could go on more but you know. its against god new law not to kill other, since he made MISTAKE and the old testament rules didnt work very well. If you kill you kill, doesnt matter if its in self defense or cuz your mean. So if I were God i would be mad! but since you are doing your job I dont konw, but then what kind of person are you if you get that job. I guess you would only go to hell if you enjoy killing others. That what I think.

Heaven. They are fighting for our country and giving their lives and putting their lives at risk for our country and our people and God's people. They are working for God and the government. Why go to hell? Unless the soldier murdered someone with unjust reason or planned some killing scheme because he did not like that person, he has no reason to go to hell for being a soldier and doing his job.

I don't believe heaven and hell exist in the way that they are described and portraid in human media, and books. I believe that, when we die, we spirits will sit with God (or whatever you chose to call it) and review our lives. We will feel, with a magnified intensity beyond description, everything we'd ever made anyone else feel.

according to the Catholic Church, Joan of Arc is in heaven, she`s even a saint. So... now depends of your own perception of Heaven and Hell.

It would depend on their having Jesus in their heart or not.
I would think, if they killed someone and felt conviction, that it WAS wrong, asking God's forgiveness removes it, as far as the East is from the West.
Being forgiven for your sins would get you into Heaven.
The question I THINK you are asking we will never know till we get to Heaven.

The spirits call to whomever is ready. That's why the most important wisdom is to learn to 'turn the other cheek'. When someone crosses over, everyone is there.....
Or not. The mechanism can't play favorites, or it wouldn't exist.

If heaven or hell exists, I would imagine that it depends on what they're fighting for. I don't think either place exists though.
