I have about 7 cups of pureed wild purple plums. I was initially planning to making fruit leather, but later found out that I would not be able to do that. I was wondering what I might be able to make using this amount of plums, assuming I have no pectin or jam jars to make jam. I have most common spices, and I have sugar, flour, etc (everything for normal baking).

To clarify things a bit. I do not have the equipment to make fruit leather (or moreso that I do not want to run my oven open for a longer period of time), and I cannot make jam because I neither have pectin or jam jars. I like the plum fool, and spicy plum butter idea, but I'm still looking for more ideas.
Also, so nobody thinks I'm crazy, I have all this pureed plum because I have a plum tree outside my house and didn't want to leave them to waste, so I pureed them and stuck them in freezer bag in my freezer.

This is the BEST recipe, and so very easy. And it works best if you leave the skins on the plums, but will also work without them. And it freezes beautifully. Great for gift giving, also.
Spicy Plum Butter
3 lbs. plums - quartered & pureed in a blender
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cloves.
Simmer all above in a kettle (uncovered) for 1 1/2 to 4 hours, until it is thickened. Cool and store in jelly jars (or plastic containers works too)

Oh, this is soooooo easy! The last time I had plumbs I put them in a blender, added some cherries (they were in season), sugar (don't skimp, maybe 1 - 1.5 cups.... just add slowly) and a tablespoon of lemon juice and canned it.
I used it like this:
1 pt of plum cherry sauce in a plastic container
add:
a few tablespoons of chopped cilantro, sliced white onion, chopped fresh garlic, a tbs or so of soy sauce and a tbs or so of sesame oil.
Now.... put some of those really thick pork chops and make sure the sauce covers em up good, cover and put in the fridge overnight.
Remove from sauce, scrape off "most" of it, but leave a little on. broil till done. While broiling... get your rubber spatula and empty into a small sauce pan. Bring to a boil, but not too quick or you'll have a mess, Let boil for 10 minutes (to kill the bad stuff from your raw pork) and serve sauce over your cooked chops.
If these aren't the best pork chops you ever had....... well.... I don't know how they couldn't be.
Also try with chicken and let me know how they came out.

Pureed plums rock, FoxNSox, so don't listen to the naysayers, lol!
Ever tried a Plum Fool dessert? Delicious. Very simple to make, too, and can be made with any type of fruit puree. Apple Fool is my personal fave, but that's only because my mom used to make it regularly during summertime.
She would start with a pint of thick custard, made with Bird's custard powder (alas, only available in the UK) and would then fold in the puree, some light brown sugar and plenty of whipped cream.
Try this, if you're feeling creative, it's very easy.
Whip around a cup and a half of whipped cream, fold into 2 cups of puree, add a few drops of vanilla, half a cup of sugar, a couple of tablespoons of Grand Marnier, Baileys, Triple Sec, or whatever takes your fancy. Then gently fold in a couple of stiffly beaten egg whites (whipped in a separate bowl) and voila! Chill in the fridge for a couple of hours before serving. Buon appetito.

I'm not sure why you can't make fruit leather with it, maybe you don't have nessasary equipment is my guess here. Anyway, plum puree is very good on pancakes or waffles. It's awesome as an ice cream topping too. And straight up, there's no more effective laxative that doesn't rip your bowels out.

make a good jam with some sugar depends of the total amount...of plums I think that you need something like a 1.5 cup o sugar and 4 to 5 cups of water put in a container at middle flame when you watch that is boling down the flame and stir for a few minutes you can obtain a good jam with that
