I'm not sure where in the body the soul is. But it does have weight. Some how Doctors checked it out the body upon death looses 1/4 of an ounce.

If you close your eyes, do you still have feelings, if you lose blood, do you have less feelings, if you cannot hear do you still feelings. do you have anger, do you have love, the body only holds the soul, its like a glove, the spirit is in the body, when the body dies, the soul is free from the body, but does the spirit die,? no it is free. Its the thing on the inside of the body, if you take and put your blood in a bag, that blood can not feel, if your eues are taken out of your head, they cannot see, if you brain is taken from your body, it will not think, the body was made of flesh, but the spirit was made for God, the flesh will die, but the spirit will never die.

I believe we have to have a soul because we are conscious. Something is giving commands to our brain. But who says the energy of that soul doesn't just dissipate after death?

No, there's no such thing as a "soul". It's largely just a word invented to help people save bad arguments, such as the one that says that we live on after we've died.
If you could "find the soul in us", someone would have done so long ago - heaven knows there's been enough looking.

We are a living soul!
Genesis 2:7 Â And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

I think we have a soul and that is what continues to live on after we leave, visiting the people who need it most at that one particular time.

yes we do have a soul which will never die, either in heaven or hell.. thus we must never be afraid of anything that could destroy our bodies but to fear god who is the ulimate judge to our soul.
we find our soul thru the communion with God - in prayers, church, life experiences - my personal opinion.

Ok, your body is just a shell. It's a home for your soul until your soul is ready to leave your body. Who you are, your feelings, your thoughts, ect. that is your soul.
