Good question but I do think there are many views in an answer to this question.

If the one who did program it did program it to do what it was told to do and there is no flaws whatso ever of course it will obey. But suppose it was programmed to disobey and then there was a flaw put in intentionally.

You see my friend you should be more explicite in the comments.

I guess from my view it all depends on the ability of the creator, the desires of the creator, the plans of the creator, and then the ability to obey or not to obey installed in the program. In fact there are so many variables that one can never cover them all.

Did I get your point correctly? Are you not knocking the Christians or the so called Christians. My Friend I am a "NO"and I know a "NO' is a robot. At lesast I think I know that and such is my faith and belief. However I do have one Option. I can ask my creator to change the bad chip he put in me when he did form me and did allow me to be born with a new one. That is called a rebirth or birth from above. If I do request it knowing the first control chip is not good, my Creator will be happy to correct it and replace it with a new one for me and reform me to conform to being a better more content robot. Beside that with that new chip I can look forward to a great eternity in pure contentment and bliss.

Oh my friend it is great to be a "NO" robot. That is for me. Maybe it will not be great for you. That is just something you will have to decide for yourself.

Now do have a great day and smile while you are thinking about everyone being just a robot and a tool in this existence OK. Please do not just accept my view, for I may be all wrong. I am always the first to admit that. Also if proven wrong I will change my view OK.

If computer programs are any good as an analogy, then the answer to your robot question is yes. Even if the desired result isn't achieved, the program executes exactly as written. The flaws were introduced into the program by the designer.

I'm not sure your analogy translates well into the human / divine relationship. There is an element of "choice" which is introduced and complicates the matter a bit.

Yes, if the robots creator knew what he was doing.

Christians don't get orders from God, though many think they do.
