nothing special: none if you work in city parks, and the same as for all fieldworkers if you work in the field - preferrably dont go alone (better said than done if it is only u who gets paid for the days work), always tell somebody or leave a note where you went and how long u are supposed to be out in case a sprained ankle leaves you lying somewhere in the woods. also take a mobile phone if there is some signal or invest in a satellite phone if you work in really remote areas. watch out for dangers that come with the area you work in -maybe getting totally lost or even drowned if it is swamp, bears if there are any, insects and tick borne diseases shouldnt be forgotten!!, itchy plants, in a windy day, you can be easily hit by a branch, not speaking of a whole tree...

Be aware, alert, and never hurt. Trees are being cut down and one could fall on you if you are not aware of things going on around you. If you hear the call "Timber," look around, but that might be too late. Before you start counting tree rings, make sure there are no trees being cut around you and look out for wild animals.
