Shove him down the stairs and say ooops you tripped! lol He won't bother you again. Ignoring won't work. He does this because you let him get away with it. Also make sure the steps are only like three or four high. You don't want to really injure him, just teach him a lesson. Stand up for yourself. If you get in trouble so what? They can't do much to you and you will have gained your self esteem back. If you do nothing he will persist. Other kids will see this and maybe join in. Some kids are just creeps and only understand the same treatment that they dole out. And having your Mommy and Daddy come to the school is pretty embarrassing and you will just get teased for that. Take a stand!

You have every right to defend yourself. He could damage your ear drums. You may or may not get taken to the principles office, and you may or may not be punished, but I think your parents will understand and you most definately have the right to defend yourself. You will feel good about taking a stand, regardless of the punishment.

That's a tough one. If you report him, you look like a snitch, and if you ignore him, believe me, he will not give up. Bullies can be very persistent. If you hit him, trip him, etc. you will undoubtedly be the one who gets spotted by a person of authority and he will look like the victim.
I think you should start by telling your parents and asking for their advice on this. Maybe they can speak to the principal on your behalf.
Either way, do something.
Passively ignoring the abuse makes you look like a victim.

You need to buy one of those blow horns in a can like the ones they use a baseball and football games, so when he does this again you get him back. The whole school will hear it...but the reward is payback is a B*tch
