HOW CAN U PROVE THAT GOD LISTENS TO US?. I was taught that when you pray for something and don't get what u prayed for... the answer is no. But with all the people in the world that are living in absolute hell... How can you tell me that when they pray to GOD for his help. and they're lives are still in poverty, war, sickness, starvation, abuse. etc.... Why would he not help them????? Is he still listening?

Ignoring all the negative responses received thus far, I offer the following:

1. The physical description of God the Father. Is He simply a Spirit filling the immensity of space or does He have a perfected body of flesh and bones just as His Son possesses?

2. Is the Holy Bible the only Word God? Jesus said that he had "other sheep not of this (Jerusalem) fold"; therefore, it is reasonable to believe He meant others around the globe needed His Gospel.

3. Why is the Book of Revelation meant to encompass the entire Bible when its writing and revelation was done much later than the other books of the Bible?

4. Why do some Christians still believe that the laws of the Old Testament were not fulfilled as the Christ had said He had done? This does not include the Ten Commandments given Moses; they're two separate entities.

5. Are prophecies and prophets a thing of the past, never to be seen again?

I'm an atheist, and I'm not sure you're looking for questions from that perspective like some of the ruder, thoughtless ones mentioned above. But in case you are, I can tell you the question I'm most curious about - and it might apply to those of faith as well. Are people that have never heard of God/Christianity (remote tribes in Africa/South America, for example) going to Hell? If so, can the "missionary" standpoint of most Christians (i.e., "that's why we make it a goal to reach as many people as possible") be used as an excuse for those who will inevitably not be reached in time? How would you explain God letting such a thing happen, due merely to a human inability to cover every corner of the Earth? Is specific faith in a specific God truly necessary? Why wouldn't just being a good person be good enough for a benevolent God? Or is it?

I'm sorry that evolved into several questions, but as you can see they're all pretty interrelated. Good luck with your service.

Well, many people will ask - "It's 2006, why can't humans get along better than we do?" and "Why are we killing more people than ever over any and all differences - than finding common ground for agreements and peace?"
"Why can many religions live peacefully together, and Islam can not?" Well no one can answer that, Islam needs to open up more.
Oh, I have seen and hear questions along this line of which commandments to follow. (I follow the two Jesus gave us before he died.) The reason for the Old Testament in relation to Jesus's teachings from the New Testament is also asked, as it confuses people when talking about criminal punishment, morals. (WWJD in relation to todays life -vs- the eye-for-eye mentality of OT.)
I am curious why hate is growing among the Christians and why groups are not together more instead of becoming so isolated. Christians should agree all the time, as their source of faith can not be broken into misunderstandings - there is only one Jesus Christ and everything is documented so well - only the popularity of the humans that write sermons and books tears us apart? Why is that happening? No human should mislead others.
(Maybe I'm to simple, sorry.)

Who wrote the bible? Why are some chapters not included in the Protestant bible.

Take this sentance " I never said you stoll money" Emphasize any word in that sentence and it takes on an entirely different meaning. Consider this as you study the bible and understand all of the various languages that it has been translated from as well as the intended audience and political happenings during the eons that it was assembled over. If you can do that then realize that in the end it's a wonderous collection. But only fools would believe in a word for word literal interpretation. Nor was it meant to be the only thing necessary to faith. anymore than a stool can stand on one leg. If this was not so we would have one interpretation and only one Holy Church of Jesus Christ

1. Dinosaurs. Why aren't they in the Bible?
2. What happened to the section of the Bible when Jesus was
12-30 years old? Or why was it not written?
3. How could it even be possible for someone to live 300-500-
900 years? It's obvious that quality of living was extremely
hard 2000-3000 years ago much less when the first part of the
Old Testament supposedly happened.

My biggest question is why so many Christians want our country to be a Christian Theocracy, when there are so many other religions in America; plus Atheists, Deidts. Agnostics, Universalists, etc.?
We have done great since the inception of the United States with a secular government and to try to change it will cause a greater dive among our people. One brave Minister, Gregory Boyd, said it best:

“America wasn’t founded as a theocracy,” he said. “America was founded by people trying to escape theocracies. Never in history have we had a Christian theocracy where it wasn’t bloody and barbaric. That’s why our Constitution wisely put in a separation of church and state.

“I am sorry to tell you,” he continued, “that America is not the light of the world and the hope of the world. The light of the world and the hope of the world is Jesus Christ.”

Why do people call the bible the infallible word of God when it was subject to so much documented revision, addition, and even subtraction over the centuries that there's absolutely no way to know what the original version was? Ever hear of the Revelation of Peter? If not, it's probably because the early church fathers decided that what it said was contrary to what they themselves were advocating at the time, so they decided to toss it out. The same goes for dozens of other writings.

There's a question for ya.

My biggest question about the bible is why does it often contradict itself?

My only question for God is why there is so much suffering...obviously we are to learn from the obstacles we encounter. Some of us learn our lessons well and try to use our knowledge and experience for the betterment of humanity yet can still have the same obstacle occur in our lives. Why?

My biggest question about Christianity (if you don't mind my saying, all faiths in general, really) is why so many cannot "agree to disagree" and peacefully co-exist with persons whose beliefs are different than their own?
