Feed at least 3 times per day, and pick up the bowl after 10 minutes. Keep the same schedule daily. Take him outside after every feeding. He will go about 5-10 minutes after being fed, depending on his age. It will take awhile for him to learn/develop bladder control, but potty should be easier. Feed on a strict schedule, so that he isn't fed just before bedtime, as he will need to go shortly after being fed..Young pups should be fed and then walked 4 times per day, until they poop...He will need more frequent outings for peeing...Walk him just before bedtime, to make certain he is empty..
Never scold for mistakes, but give lavish praise every time he goes outside, like he won the lottery.....Pups can only hold their pee for 1 hour, per month of age..So, its important to empty them just before bedtime..
Use the same word every time.
The most important thing is to watch him closely, and scoop him up and outside when he begins to act restless, turn circles, etc. soon he will whine and look at you when he needs to go.
Be patient...If your patience wears then, talk to your mom, and ask her how long it took to potty train you...How many times she changed your diaper, and bedding....lol

It's called crate-training or kennel-training. You have a kennel for your pup which is the right size, not too big or too small. You keep you pup in his kennel most times you are not actively playing with him. DON'T WORRY, Dogs are den animals and, especially as puppies, feel comfortable in their "den." A healthy dog or puppy will NOT potty in his "den." When you take him out of his "den" to play you first take him immediately outside and tell him him "potty word", like "potty" or whatever. They will associate outside with using the bathroom after a short while.
After eating or playing for a bit, take him outside in case he has to go again. Try to take him to the same spot if possible b/c he'll smell the scent and associate the spot with bathroom quicker.

the first thing you need to know is to NEVER EVER RUB THE PUPPY'S NOSE IN IT.. NEVER!! that is an old wive's tale.. just because our parents and their parents and their parents before that did it for hundreds of years doesn't make it right... when you rub the puppy's nose in it's urine or feces you are just confusing him, he has no idea why you are doing that.. and punishing him for having relieved himself, a natural bodily function, will confuse him even more... the best way to potty train a puppy is with "positive re-inforcement".. watch your puppy closely, when he starts sniffing, looking and/or squatting, quickly pick him up and bring him outside, stay with him until he relieves himself and then give him LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of praise, even treats if you have some, you may give a firm "NO" when he does it inside but no more, just be patient and ever-watchful and be aware of your pup's needs and schedule, be there for him when he needs to be taken outside.. it won't take him long to understand and learn that when he does his duties outside it makes you happy and he gets a treat, but when he does it inside, he gets a "NO".. and remember the basic rule of thumb for puppies's need for relief.. 1 hour for every month.. example: 1 month old = every 1 hour, 2 months old - every 2 hours, 3 months old = every 3 hours, ect. Oh and one more thing.. no such thing as stupid dogs.. only stupid owners *grins*.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://bitly.im/aMQ13
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

These are all great answers. Usually when we get a new puppy, we let them walk around our yard a while to pick up all the smells and different sents. When you see your puppy start to sniff your floors just tell him/her lets go outside. Take em outside and walk around with him/her. And before you know it they will be scratching the door to go out side and scratching to come back inside. Have fun and remember puppies are like little kids the have boo boos. dont be to harsh. lots of luck

Always go to the same door. Let the puppy out every two hours. Watch it well when not in a cage. First thing in the morning outside you go. After it eats outside you go. every two hours outside you go and stick to it. It will work out if you stick with it and pay attention don't forget about it. That would not be fair.

Go out with the pup as often as possible. Say"Let's go pee pee outside" and say the same words each time. When there are indoor accidents, don't punish your pup. Just take it outside and when it goes, give it lavish praise, "Like good girl!! You can pee pee outside!" Then give it a dog biscuit. I trained mine by saying"Do you want a dog bisquit? Ok go outside and pee pee."Make a big deal out of it. Most dogs want to please their owners.
Indoors, put some piddle pads near the door where your dog goes out. And if it goes on the carpet, use an enzyme like Outright to remove the odor and bacteria.
Good luck!!

I train all ages of dogs. This is a sure fire way to a happy life with your dog. First off, You can't slack on this. As soon as you get up in the morning, take your dog outside. as soon as it goes to the bathroom outside , give dog lots of praise, always make a big deal out of it. Then feed dog. Give half hr or less. 10 min after feeding take dog out again. If you leave best thing to do if you don't leave dog outside in fenced yard, is to create train dog. put dog in with a blanket or towel, small dish of water, and a safe dog toy, no raw hide, they can choke or get a twisted gut if they swallow too much. As soon as you get home let dog outside. Give big praise. after that take out every 15 to 20 minutes. feed when time and take out again. If you stay home all day, take out every 15 to 20 minutes, and after you play , or dog eats or drinks. keep this up for at least three weeks usually not that long and you will have a house trained dog. Don't use training pads or newspaper because it gives the dog permission to go in the house. also don't give socks or shoes to play with because that gives permission to chew on your clothing.Only scold if you catch the dog in the act of going in the house. Immediately say no. and take dog outside, and praise him outside even if no more comes out.

YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE PUPPY OUTSIDE OFTEN LIKE AT LEAST EVERY HOUR, . AFTER THEY EAT GIVE HIM 5 MINUTES THEN TAKE HIM OUTSIDE UNTILL HE GOES. IF YOU KEEP A PUPPY IN A CAGE THEY DON'T USE THE BATHROOM IN IT. AFTER A WHILE HE WILL GO TO THE DOOR AND THATS WHEN HE WILL HAVE TO GO. GOOD LUCK IT TAKE A LOT OF PATIENCE.
