Yes, its very healing and if you ask me, I need to get closer to nature. In fact thanks for the idea...I am seriously going to plan an outing somewhere thats anywhere but in the heart of los angeles. My family and I and friends used to camp alot in California's forests when I was growing up and I really miss those days. Its such a blessing to be surrounded by nature's beauty. God is good.

Absolutely. The beauty in nature is one of the most important signs of God in my opinion. In fact, Muslims believe that the signs in nature are in a sense parallel to the "signs" or verses in the Qur'an in that they serve as a reminder of God. Being close to nature can be a deeply spiritual experience for a person of any faith. I am surprised by all the people who said no!

Yes!
The awesomeness of nature gives me an incredible feeling of well being. There is a very tangible spiritual presence in nature that hints of god.

Yes, as a matter of fact, before I ever studied the bible, came to know Jesus Christ personally, or went to church regularly, I always felt God's presence in nature. It is still my favorite place to be with Him and experience Him.

You should have included people aside from nature. When you are close to everything and everyone do you not feel the love within?
When you are lonely and withdrawn do you sometimes feel the absence of love within?

No, but my interest and passion for experiencing and understanding nature is true reverence for something larger than myself and is a superior substitute for someone else's imaginary "god."

I've never noticed it, But Jesus did go out into the wilds to pray and seek God. So there is obviously value in it.
