ok i have 2 cats that need to get adopted. so i put a add on pet finder. and i got a email from some guy in california that he said his daughter wants a pet cause her pet had died and he wants the cat right away and promises to give the cat a good home. the only thing i dont trust is he lives in california and i live in new york. and he says thier a shipping company that is verry relible that will pick up the cat. wouldnt he try to adopt a cat in california then across the country?? and he wants to know my name address and phone number to send a money order for the cat. but how do i know the cat will be safe or what is being done with her. is thier a safer way to do this for the cats saftey. or should i just tell him to find a cat that is closer to him?? would you trust this?/

Sweetie, Don't worry about the cat! Do not give your name and address to this creep! If it seems weird to you that he wants a cat from so far away, it is weird! Your instincts are kicking in! Go with that feeling! He obviously is up to no good. Probably doesn't even have a daughter! Adopt them out near home or sit out at a store with a sign or give them to the shelter. Be very careful of crazy ppl! I love cats and want every little girl to have a pet but common sense says NOT TO THIS GUY!Protect yourself!

Do not even remotely trust this! ANYONE on the internet that is asking for your home address/phone number etc should send up a red flag, even if you are selling something.

There are plenty of people in the New York area looking for a cat to adopt, keep it local and keep safe!!!

Frankly, I'd suggest dropping the ad on the internet all together. Put up adds with your vet and local pet stores. They can meet you there to pick up the cat.

NEVER give out ANY personal info to anyone on the internet ! Why would he want a cat from New York when there's thousands of cats needing an owner in California ? I'd delete this clowns messages and forget about him. Find someone local to adopt your cats.

Just say you are only adopting locally and good luck on finding a pet for his daughter closer to home. Surely there are FULL animal shelters in California.

Absolutely not Do not even bother and reply to this...Its either a scam or some one trying to get you personal information. Just forget about this guy..usally with this type of scam they will then send you a money order for a much larger amount then you request and they will ask you to cash it and give the amount over your price to the truck driver. the money order is a counterfeit But you have cashed it and will be liable to pay it back It happens all the time with for sale items.

there are lots of cats in California for him to adopt. I don't have a good feeling about this guy, I don't think he wants a cat I think he wants you . do not give out any information about your self to someone you do not know.

umm no i wouldnt at all you rather be safe than sorry right? what i would do is take the cats to like a pet store or like Pet co or somewhere like that. and that way your cats will be ONLY adopeted out to a good home and it will be somewhere close.
but as for the guy DONT give out personal information. he has no use of it.

Oh my, I would say not to send him the cat OR even give him any of your information.
Surely he can find a cat to adopt in CA. This just sounds too fishy.

Think a little strange, unless trying 2 find a cat exactly the same as dead one so child wont know. Either way hes lying to someone. Trust him no!

Don't give him your personal information! Why in the heck would he want a cat from New York anyways?! Best to find a closer owner.
