Self Motivated
Goal Oriented
Determined
able to think quickly on your feet to a fast changing situation
Able to stay on task and not get distracted
and despite what you see in movies you dont want to be the braggart type.
Most seals I have met have been very quiet when it comes to their abilities. Not so much a secrecy thing but more of the Big Dog/ Little Dog syndrome
The little Dog barks all the time to convince you (and himself) that he can bite your head off
The Big dog.. He dont bark cause he KNOWS he can bite your head off.

goal oriented! you must decide that this is what you want to do with your life and be physically and emotionally strong enoygh to do it. if you are the kind of person that can handle this kind of stress, by all means go for it. I would reccomend talking to a Navy Seal (not a recruiter!) before signing the dotted line. seewhat it is actually like being a seal. The thought of seeing my parents bragging to their friends that I am a seal would be a great feeling. I hope you pick the right path. also, to BRAINY, mcveigh was in the army. He was not a Seal!

It is only more mental than physical if you are prepared physically. Go in with a dont quit attitude. If you quit you will be on a ship for 4 years, does that sound like fun?
**Timothy McVeigh was not a SEAL. Stop spreading BS.

Becomming a Navy Seal is both mentally and physically challenging. I think you have to be very motivated to be one. Those kids work hard at what they do, and you have to love doing what you do. Your heart has to be set on becomming a Navy Seal. Good luck if you do decide to join!

It's not about personality, it's about loyality, determination, desire, teamwork, and hard work. It might interest you to know that the most famous Navy Seal was Mr. Rodgers. Not famous for being a Seal, but famous for his kids show.

You have to be motivated, dedicated, and have a 'never quit' attitude. It would be the hardest, most stressful thing you have ever done in your life. You have to want it bad!
BTW: Tim McVeigh was not a SEAL, he was in the U.S. Army.

You have to have a "never give up" attitude. It is extremely physical as well as psychological.

Check with Timothy McVeigh, he was a decorated Seal. Sorry I forgot he's not answering his calls.
