Well, there's this chick and I who've known each other for around a year or so, ironically we met on some music forums and now we're dating. Problem is...her father is a stickler about dating, and she's going to be 15 VERY soon, I know I might be a year, four months and 8 days older than her, but this is TRUE love. When I first said I loved her she was so happy, but anyways, her dad doesn't know ANY of this, and I thought maybe I could talk to him..but it's giving me the shivers because I don't want this relationship to end because of her damned dad. We live in the same state, but different areas, and I REALLY wanna take her to the homecing dance that's coming up,.

So, you’re 16 and talking about true love. Okay. I can’t say I’m an expert on the subject, I’m only 22, but you’re only 16 or so, now isn’t the time to be talking about marriage and such. I don’t doubt your feelings for her are real, and are probably very strong. That’s great! But finish being a kid first, dude. I think it’s best to date a wide variety of girls at your age. I think you’re probably limiting yourself a little by exclusively dating one girl, regardless of how much you love her. Take a breather, calm down, and don’t take things too fast. Have fun with your life at this stage (and take your girlfriend along with you). Now isn’t the time in your life to take things quite that seriously. Spend time with your girlfriend, definitely, just have fun and enjoy each other’s company, if by the time you’re 18 or older, and things are still as good as they are now, or better, then start talking about True Love, Marriage, and living life together. That, in my opinion, is the best way to go.

dont do anything w/o askin her first. she might get pissed. depending on what she says, talk it out with her and come up with a plan i guess. her dad might see that you have good intentions with her if you have the balls to talk to him. make sure you think about the consequences though, cuz if you tell him, he might still be an asshole about everything and just *** everything up. so... w/e i dont know, its a very confusing subject.

Have her suggest to her father that she would like to go to the dance. See how he reacts before saying anything else. Good luck.

WELL YOU COULD ASK HER DAD OR WAIT UNTIL NEXT YEAR WHEN YOUR BOTH OLDER. IF YOU LIVE IN DIFFERENT AREAS I DON'T REALLY THINK HER DAD IS GOING TO OK HER GOING TO THE HOMECOMING WITHOUT KNOWING YOU.

dads suck, but don't be afraid to talk to him, he's not gonna hurt you and if he turns out liking you a lot, then your king of the world.
