The cheapest way to make overseas phone calls is from your computer or you could also use voip phone service. International rates are real cheap. Go to http://www.nationwidebillrelief.com/voip.html compare carriers for VoIP phone service. It will not cost a lot to set up and you will enjoy the savings for a very long time. If your freind doesn't have a computer or isn't willing to use skpe. Get a service called Vonage. They have the cheapest rates I have seen. Unlimited to Canada.

some answers say voip, internet calling but that takes
a. a computer with broud band
b. buying the hardware to get set up
c. an additonal 29.oo monthly for the unlimited system, after you pay the monthly bill for the braodband, which is another 30.oo or so (maybe 20.oo) now you're up to 50.oo monthly for voip;
d. someone who knows what they are doing to set it up
