The kitten must have been taken from its mother somehow or the Momma died? Anyways, you can feed with KMR(you can get in any pet store)Read the directions if you buy the powder to mix it. Don't mix too much at a time! Then put it in little nursing bottles, and sometimes you need to cut the tips off a little(just a little, or poke a hole, but keep it as sterile as possible)to feed from the bottles. The kittens need to be fed every two to three hours, just like a newborn baby! There is no replacing the mother's milk by any means, so if you can find the Mom cat, that's the better of the alternatives. However, the KMR is a good replacement. Then when they get to be about 3 to 4 weeks old, you can try mixing in a little oatmeal or rice cereal, and by 5 to 6 weeks old get them over to whole milk, and wet food or softened(with water)dry kitten food. Good luck! We've done it, it takes a lot of work but it does work!!! : )

IF you can find a Momma cat that will take the kit and nurse it, it would be best for the kitten. Kits are not supposed to leave their moms for at least six to eight weeks. If there is no Momma cat, get to a pet store, you need to buy some "KMR" (stands for kitten milk replacement) and a kitten feeding bottle. There are several kinds to buy and you pick what you think the kit might like. It's pretty much a crap shoot. Take them home and mix the KMR with clean water, warm it a bit (not much) and bottle feed the little one. This takes a major amount of patience!! IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE AN EYEDROPPER, BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL. IF YOU DROP TOO MUCH MILK IN THE KITS MOUTH, YOU COULD DROWN IT.
After feeding, you have to take a SLIGHTLY damp wash cloth and GENTLY brush it across his/her poo and tinkle spots. Kits don't do poo or tinkle unless stimulated, no momma cat, so you need to help them.
You will need to feed the kit every two hours at least. This is rough for one person and if you can find someone to help you, it would be good. Keep the kit warm, and in a quiet place. Good luck, hon.

If it's with its mom, she will take care of it. If the kitten is an orphan, there are a few things you will need and need to do. Firstly is the food. Kitten formula and bottles are available at any petstore and even walmart I think. You will need to feed it every 2 or 3 hours, then stimulate its bottom and pee pee with a warm wet paper towel or washcloth after it eats so it will go to the bathroom. Keep the kitten warm with a bag of rice warmed in the micro wrapped in a towel. Make sure the kitten can get away from the heat, you don't want it to get too warm. Most important is get it to a vet as soon as you can.

a week old kitten needs to be nursing from it's mother. If she is not around or has no interest then you will need to bottle feed with a kitten milk replacer (NOT COWS MILK)every 2-3 hours, until the kitten is at least 5-6 weeks old. Are you old enough and responsible enough for that? If not then you better find a shelter or rescue group that will take it for you.

the mother should feel him. if she just doent want to feed her kitten you need to hold the mom down so the kitten can feed off her milk every 2 hours. there is kitten milk also that you can buy. but i had a week old kitten that died because we were feeding it kitten milk but it didnt have the right noutritans that it needed from its mom. what i would do so the kitten has a better chance at surviving is...take the lil guy to a vet that way they can take care of it (and they would know tonz more of what to do) that way the kitten has a better chance of survivial. good luck i rreally hope he makes it. :)

Most major store such as walmart, petco, target have a pet department that sells milk substitue for kittens. anything younger then 4-5 weeks must be on this ONLY. Their systems cannot process ceral or cows milk properly and they will be severaly undernourished and could die or develop abnormalities.
Drive to a major store and get the cat milk subsitute for kittens even some grocery stores carry it now since not all mother cats produce milk or the frequency of kitten discarding by bad owners of female cats who never get fixed.
Good luck and by all means call a local vet they can offer you schedules and tips and perhaps even a no kill shelter that has experience caring for them.

If the mother is not around, u need to feed it kitten formula through a special baby bottle found at your local pet supply store. You may also want to give your vet a call to make sure this is the correct thing to do.

if you have a week old kitten, it should be nursing on its mothers milk, but i dont think it possible in your sitch. i reccomend a formula for kittens thats called, KMR, you can find it at any a pet store. its just like baby formula. you mix it up with water and you feed it to them through a bottle. you can probably find that in the pet shop also. hope that helps!

get kitten formula at the pet shop and one of the little baby bottles
to feed it with or you can get goat's milk at the grocery store
just remember that the most important thing is to get the baby to go potty, take a real warm damp rag and wipe its rear end gently
until it pees and poops and do this several times a day.If you don't do it the kitten will die
